My name is Maddie Ladner. I am an 18-year-old undergraduate student at the University of Arkansas majoring in apparel merchandising and product development. I have always enjoyed writing and been interested in fashion, as well as the impact that it has in our society. Many people view clothing as a necessary article that is worn for protection and comfort, but it is much more than that. There are many components to the functions of dress and why people wear the clothes that they wear. I hope to help my readers understand why clothing is a major factor in our lives that pushes us to express ourselves in one of the most unique ways we can.
